I agree with most reviewers--this is a great juicer. I will comment on some of the shortcomings of the unit, since there is a healthy abundance on positive comments already.
1. I believe the unit is designed to operate without using the plastic bag as liner for the pulp trap/container. For those who are experiencing leakage, this may be the reason. The unit seems to provide more than adequate suction, as long as there is adequate gap for exhaust air (the space between the lid and the (inner) face of the pulp trap/container. Use of grocery bags will fill in the gap and does not allow air to escape--this will make the unit work less effectively (in pulling air/juice/pulp through) and may result in leakage. To aleviate this condition, either do not use the bag (try it w/o and you will see how strong the unit pulls on the food pusher--you do not have to "push" at all!!), or use thin bags and take some care to stretch the bag tight around the edges (where the lid come in contact with the pulp trap/container).
2. During the wash process, I do notice the plastic parts have several sharp corners that someone who is not aware may poke/scratch his/her hands a bit until familiars with the parts. There is nothing you can do about this except to use it and learn.
Overall it is an excellent product. I have had numerous compliments on how the unit looks, operates, and of course how good the juice tastes. Hope my comments help. I would welcome anyone's comments whether they have experienced the same issues, or try my reccommendations and agree or not. PEACE (a juicer from So. Cal :)
